ACCESSING YOUR FVTC ACCOUNT
Your FVTC Login / ID
You will continue to use the nine-digit FVTC ID number you've been using for your classes and student access already!
- When signing in, you’ll typically use your FVTC ID NUMBER + @fvtc.edu
- For example: 123456789@fvtc.edu
If you need help getting this number again, please call the FVTC Helpdesk during normal operating hours: 920.735.5644
Your FVTC Password
Your password will be the same password you've been using to access our student information
If you need assistance with changing your password, please follow the instructions below:
- Start here: www.fvtc.edu
- Then click Staff
NOTE: While not recommended, if you're on a mobile device, click on "Menu"
Then click on Staff - Then click Reset Password
- Here you’ll enter your FULL ID NUMBER + @fvtc.edu
NOTE: It will say “Enter your email address” which is why we ask you to enter the entire number + @fvtc.edu (e.g. 123456789@fvtc.edu) - You will be asked to verify your account with an email or personal phone number you provided on your initial job application.
- Enter the code you get texted, email, and called with.
- Set your Password and click on Finish
NOTE: Password requirements are 12 to 24 characters, and 3 out of 4 of the following criteria:
> Capital Letter
> Small Letter
> Number
> Symbol
Please note, if you do not have a number listed, or it says “Office Phone” you will need to call the FVTC Helpdesk during normal operating hours: 920.735.5644 to add in your correct info.
Setting up Duo (two-factor authentication)
To protect your account, and our college data, FVTC uses two-factor authentication to verify many of your sign-ins.
Your bank or credit card companies may use similar systems to verify when you sign in to those sites as well.
FVTC uses a highly regarded system called “Duo.”
PLEASE NOTE! Previously when accessing your Bb courses, or your email you would not have had to do this, but now that you are an employee with us, we'll need to add this step to your login process.
PLEASE NOTE! BEFORE YOU BEGIN: You will need to have a valid FVTC ID number and password.
Download the App
We highly recommend downloading the Duo app for the best user experience. It can be found in both iTunes and Google Play Stores.

If you choose not to download the app, you would set up your cell phone as a landline.
Set up your Duo Account
Step 1: Go to staff.fvtc.edu and sign in with your FVTC ID number and password.
Step 2: Click on the Complete Duo Enrollment button.
Step 3: Click Start Setup to begin.
Step 4: Choose the device you would like to enroll, either as a mobile device or land line.

Duo Tips
- For the best experience, we highly recommend using a smart phone. However, it is not required.
- You can use landline phones, such as your FVTC desk phone, a personal home landline or cell phone. We recommend having multiple options.
- IF NONE OF THESE OPTIONS ARE CONVENIENT: You can request a hardware token (shown here), which will generate a unique code for your login attempts.
- Request one by calling the helpdesk: 920-735-5644.
How do I get in?
- Access your MyFVTC Account

FVTC SYSTEMS YOU'LL USE
Your access to your FVTC Email Account
Your FVTC email account will continue to be the way your new department will communicate with you. But you might notice additional emails, as you are added to various intern distribution lists or get includes in other email chains.
The instructions below guide you through those login steps if you need a refresher.
- To access your email, start here: www.fvtc.edu
- Then click Staff
NOTE: While not recommended, if you're on a mobile device, click on "Menu"
Then click on Staff - Then click Email Login & Docs
- Then click on Login.
- Next you’ll enter you nine-digit FVTC ID number, + @fvtc.edu
- Enter your FVTC password.
- You’ll then be prompted to verify you account login.
- We recommend clicking on the green “Send Me a Push” button and your Duo app will receive a notification that you’re trying to sign in.
- Click on the Green check on your Duo app when it pops up.
- Your initial login will take you to your Office 365 Dashboard.
- Click on the blue Outlook icon on the left side.
- Then you can access your full email inbox and click on New Message to compose a new message.
PLEASE NOTE!
- Your sign in is: FVTC ID Number + @fvtc.edu,
- Your email address, or alias is: Your first name + a dot + your last name + the last 4 numbers of your ID number + @fvtc.edu
- YOU CANNOT log in to your email with that alias. You must use your ID number
Example Email Address / Alias: jane.smith6789@fvtc.edu
Your Access to your Workday Account
Workday is where you will enter your hours in a time clock so you can get paid.
You'll also access Workday for Human Resource related items, such as your I-9 information, tax withholdings and your payslip.
Below are instructions for how to access Workday.
- Start here: www.fvtc.edu
- Then click Staff
NOTE: If you're on a mobile device, click on "Menu"
Then click on Staff - Click on Workday
- Next you’ll enter you nine-digit FVTC ID number, + @fvtc.edu
- Enter your FVTC password.
- You’ll then be prompted to verify you account login.
- We recommend clicking on the green “Send Me a Push” button and your Duo app will receive a notification that you’re trying to sign in.
- Click on the Green check on your Duo app when it pops up.
- PLEASE NOTE! If you have already signed in and do the steps above you may NOT be prompted for a password or a Duo prompt since you have already signed in to our systems in a web browsing window.
- Your manager or other people in your department can show you how to punch in and punch out.
- Please go to our Workday Project Site for more details on using Workday to manage your time records.
- Click on the Training Materials button.
- View the Information under Human Resources folder.
Your Access to your MyFVTC Account
Now that you're in our employee system, when you access MyFVTC you'll see a slightly different screen, as you'll be in the staff login first.
You still have access to your student records, you just need one extra step.
- To access MyFVTC Account, start here www.fvtc.edu
- Click Staff (You can also click "Current Students" but the MyFVTC button is green)
NOTE: If you're on a mobile device, click on "Menu"
Then click on Staff - Click MyFVTC Account
- Sign in with your nine-digit FVTC ID Number + @fvtc.edu
- Enter your FVTC password.
- Duo should automatically send a push to the app on your phone
- Click on the Green check on your Duo app when it pops up.
- If you have issues accessing MyFVTC because you don’t get a push, and you get a “User ID and password is incorrect” error, Duo just might be timing out.
We’d recommend using Append mode if needed.

- Click on MyFVTC in the dropdown menu that will appear.
- You should now have access to your student records, such as registering for classes or paying your bills

During the school year, our FVTC Helpdesk is available for help from 7am to 5pm Central Time, Monday through Thursday and until 4pm on Fridays (Summer hours are 7am to 4pm Monday through Friday)
Please note that we have extended support hours the week before fall and spring terms start, and continue those extended hours for about 2 weeks after the first scheduled day of classes.
