Dual Credit | Assist student completing password and MFA enrollment

This is an internal guide for you while you are assisting students.

These 7 steps can help you guide a student to completing their password and MFA enrollment steps.

If the email is being blocked by their school server, there may be trouble at #4. The school IT admin will need to remove the block.

If students create an account but do not receive the email message to set their password:

    1. Find their FVTC ID in Workday and provide it to the student
    2. Go to the Microsoft Password Reset site
      Options
      1. Direct: https://passwordreset.microsoftonline.com/
      2. Navigate to www.fvtc.edu > STAFF > RESET PASSWORD
      3. If student is on their phone and close by, they could use this QR code
        qr code
    3. Enter the username of {9-digit-FvtcId}@fvtc.edu
    4. Follow the prompts to create a password
    5. Enroll in MFA
    6. Log in with the password they just created
    7. Complete the steps to set up MFA (How To Enroll in MFA)
