Updating Drivers to a HP machine

This KB will help with the steps to update drivers on a HP machine.
  1. Go to the internet to download the HP Image Assistant (HPIA), https://ftp.ext.hp.com/pub/caps-softpaq/cmit/HPIA.html
  2. Click on the link under the SoftPaq, currently sp151464
  3. Go to the downloads folder and double click on the Hp exe to launch it.
  4. Click next on the 1st page
  5. Accept the license agreement, click next
  6. Click next to the location
  7. Then it will take a few seconds for it to open up the Analyze Image page.
  8. Use the default selections, Computer for #1 and From HP.com for #2.  Then click the Analyze button.
  9. Now it is going to scan the machine to check for any drivers that need to be updated.
  10. Click on the Recommendations tab
  11. Under the Name column, click on all the options that say drivers, under the Category column
  12. Click on the Download button.
  13. Then a little window will pop up.  Select the Download SoftPaq(s) extract files, and install…
    1. Note: If you do have the option to update the BIOS, you will have to put in the BIOS password before you click on the Start button.
  14. Once you click on the Start button, it will take a while to download/install the drivers.  You will know when it is done once it pops up a report doc.  Hopefully, they all say pass next to the drivers that were updated.
  15. Restart your machine.
