Teams | How to join a Teams Meeting

Join from your Outlook Calendar on your computer

  1. Open Outlook.

  2. Click on your Calendar Icon.

  3. Double click on the meeting you wish to attend.

  4. Click on the Join Microsoft Teams Meeting link.

  5. If prompted, click on Open Microsoft Teams. If not, go to step #6

  6. Confirm your camera and microphone switch are in the ON position.
    They should both be purple. If not, click to turn on your Camera and Microphone.

    NOTE: If it is a large meeting, you may want to join in the muted or OFF position on your microphone as a courtesy.

  7. Click Join now to enter the meeting.

Join from Office 365 in a web browser

  1. Login to Office 365, and click on the Outlook icon (to get to your inbox).

  2. Click on your calendar icon.

  3. Click on the meeting you wish to join to open the meeting notice.

  4. Click on the Join Teams meeting link.

  5. If prompted, click on Open Microsoft Teams.
    PLEASE NOTE: If you do not get this prompt, the Teams Meeting will open up in a web browser window.

  6. Confirm your camera and microphone switch are in the ON position.
    They should both be purple. If not, click to turn on your Camera and Microphone.

  7. Click Join now to enter the meeting.

Join from your Teams Application on your computer

  1. Open Teams on your computer.

  2. Click on the Calendar icon on the right side.

  3. If the meeting has started, or is nearly started, click on the JOIN button directly on the meeting notice and go to step #6.

  4. If that button does not exist, click on the meeting you wish to join.

  5. Click on the Join Meeting button in the top right corner.

    OR in the Join Meeting link in the meeting notice.

  6. If prompted, click on Open Microsoft Teams. If not, go to step #7.

  7. Confirm your camera and microphone switch are in the ON position.
    They should both be purple. If not, click to turn on your Camera and Microphone.

  8. Click Join now to enter the meeting.
