ServiceDesk Approvals

IT Tickets may require approvals to complete. The following info will explain the process.
  • If a request requires approval, an email will automatically be sent to the required Approver(s)
  • If a request is rejected, it will automatically be closed.

APPROVER - Directions

A reminder email will be sent once a week for pending items

  1. Click on the link in the approval email that is received
    (or log in to https://servicedesk.fvtc.edu/ and click on an item under My Approvals)
  2. Scroll down to review the request details
  3. If desired, enter Comments (will be visible to the Requester)
  4. Click Approve or Reject

REQUESTER - View pending approvals

  1. Log in to https://servicedesk.fvtc.edu/
  2. Click on the number under My Request Summary > Awaiting Approval

REQUESTER - View approval details

  1. Log in to https://servicedesk.fvtc.edu/
  2. Click Requests
  3. Select the appropriate view
    1. To view a request that is still open, select My Open Requests
    2. To view a request that is already done, select My Closed Requests

  4. Click the Subject of the request
  5. Click the Approvals tab
