OneDrive | Migrate OneNote from a local or Network drive to OneDrive

This document will help you move a notebook from your current local PC or a network location to OneDrive

Step 1: Open OneNote 2016

Step 2: Open / select the Notebook you want to move
Select Notebook

Step 3: Click File 

Step 4: Click Share

Step 5: On the share tab select 'OneDrive - Fox Valley Technical College' (Should be selected by default) and click browse 
Select OneDrive

Step 6: Confirm the path location is  'Personal > YOURUSERNAME_fvtc_edu > Documents >'  - If the path is not correct, you might have browsed outside of your OneDrive path. Exit the Window and try step 5 again. If you still have issues, please contact the helpdesk at (920) 735-5644.

Step 7: Browse to where you want to move the Notebook inside of your OneDrive path

Step 8: Name your Notebook and click Move

Step 9: In File Explorer, go to the old location of the Notebook. Once you have found the Notebook in the OLD location (Such as your Network documents folder) delete the Notebook. You must delete the old Notebook otherwise you may run into issues!
