ServiceDesk Approvals

IT Tickets may require approvals to complete. The following info will explain the process.
  • If a request requires approval, an email will automatically be sent to the required Approver(s)
  • If a request is rejected, it will automatically be closed.

APPROVER - Directions

A reminder email will be sent once a week for pending items

  1. Open the link in the approval email that is received
    (or log in to ServiceDesk and click on an item under My Approvals)
  2. Scroll down to review the request details
  3. If desired, enter Comments (will be visible to the Requester)
  4. Select Approve or Reject

REQUESTER - View pending approvals

  1. Log in to ServiceDesk
  2. Click on the number under My Request Summary > Awaiting Approval

REQUESTER - View approval details

  1. Log in to ServiceDesk
  2. Select Requests
  3. Select the appropriate view
    1. To view a request that is still open, select My Open Requests
    2. To view a request that is already done, select My Closed Requests

  4. Select the Subject of the request
  5. Select the Approvals tab
