Idira at FVTC

Idira (a.k.a. CyberArk) procedures and process at FVTC

Idira Endpoint Privilege Administrator is software designed to protect our network from unknown software installations on FVTC computers.

Process

  1. When you run or try to install an application that requires administrative privileges, a box like this will pop up:

Screen Shot of CyberArk prompt window

  2. You will be asked to enter a justification into the box

  3. When you click OK, an email is sent directly to the Information Security team for approval
This can take 15 minutes or so to approve.
  4. After the software is approved, you will be able to reattempt installation without administrative credentials.
